HEALTH & SAFETY
1. Member Responsibilities
All members must complete a PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) before using the gym. Inform staff of any injuries, health conditions, or limitations that may affect your ability to train safely. Follow instructions given by staff and coaches at all times. Use equipment correctly and seek assistance if unsure how to operate something. Do not use equipment or participate in exercise if feeling unwell or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
2. Staff Responsibilities
All staff are qualified, first aid trained, and regularly updated on health and safety procedures. Coaches are responsible for overseeing classes and ensuring safe exercise technique. Staff will regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is safe to use.
3. Accidents & First Aid
First aid kits are available on-site and clearly marked. In the event of an injury or emergency, notify a member of staff immediately. All accidents or incidents will be logged and reviewed.
4. Emergency Procedures
Emergency exits are clearly marked and must be kept clear at all times. In the event of a fire, follow the evacuation procedure as instructed by staff. A designated fire assembly point is located outside the building by the gates to the business park.
5. Cleanliness & Infection Control
Members must wipe down equipment after use using the cleaning stations provided. Hand sanitiser is available throughout the facility. Do not attend the gym if you have a contagious illness.
6. Youth Safety
Children aged 10–15 may only attend designated youth classes and must be supervised by qualified coaches. Youth participants are not permitted in open gym areas unless as part of a class or structured session. Parental/guardian consent is required for all youth participants.
7. Safe Environment
CCTV is in operation throughout the premises for safety and security. All gym areas are regularly cleaned, inspected, and maintained. Any hazards or concerns should be reported to staff immediately.
